Lovely book, quite entertaining. This book is not only suited for teenagers, it is also quite exciting to read for adults. She catches a butterfly, sips lemonade, jumps in a pool, and goes on a picnic. It is like Michael Moore decided to write Part Two of 'America The Beautiful' . If your child is at that point where their reading is pretty advanced, but not quite ready for their imagination to replace at least some of the art work in children's books (ie the basic chapter books), this is a good series. Many implausible or impossible things take place, but the pace of the novel and the way that the author gets readers rooting for the main characters kept me reading, in hopes that something would make better sense. Additionally, it features scale drawing of each of the aircraft in scales ranging from 1/72 to 1/120th (logically, the drawings get smaller as the planes get larger).
